Jonathan Hunt - 11-09-2018

Dear Friends,

For medical reasons I must take a break from work, political and voluntary activities for the rest of the year. I am not even sure it is safe to attend conference. I must avoid strenuous and stressful activity.

But as the longest-serving officer (2008-2017) of the old EMLD I want to encourage you all to join and take part in LDCRE, the successor body brilliantly founded and chaired by Roger [Roderick] Lynch and other old friends.

I would not like my silence to be thought to signify anything but full support for the new organisation and its objectives. The latter remain those we have battled for over many years.

The big opportunity now is that the national party is far more supportive of our campaign for race equality, thanks largely to Vince Cable, John Alderdice and Nick Harvey.

This provides ideal opportunities for all BaME liberals to join play their full roles in our party.

Best wishes,

Jonathan Hunt
