Unfortunately in this country, ethnic minority communities are disproportionately likely to live in onvercrowded and poor quality housing.
As we have seen during the pandemic this can lead to fatal consequences, as so sadly happened in the Grenfell disaster.
Executive Member Cllr. Rabina Khan has been campaigning on the issue of unsafe cladding, which disproportionately effects ethnic minority communites.

The LDCRE has today launched a 10-point plan to improve racial equality both inside and outside the party. We call on both Layla Moran and Ed Davey and their campaigns to pledge their support for all 10 of these policies. We believe all these pledges are deliverable and will work with the successful candidate to introduce them.
